Filling
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp finely chopped
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat shredded
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese shredded
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup queso dip mild or spicy
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
Tortillas
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil for frying

Method
 

Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped shrimp, crab meat, Monterey Jack cheese, cream cheese, and queso dip. Stir in cilantro, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until creamy.
  2. Lay tortillas flat and place 2-3 tablespoons of filling in the center. Roll tightly and secure with a toothpick if necessary.
  3. Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  4. Place taquitos seam-side down in the skillet. Fry for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove taquitos from skillet and drain on paper towels. Optionally, drizzle warm queso on top and garnish with cilantro before serving.
