Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Wash 2 cups of strawberries and cook in a saucepan with a splash of water over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until softened.
  2. Roll out homemade pie crust or place store-bought crust in a 9-inch pie dish, preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Combine par-cooked strawberries with 1/4 cup of sugar in a mixing bowl and let sit for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour strawberry filling into the pie crust and cover with another crust if desired, sealing the edges and cutting slits in the top.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 25–30 minutes until golden brown, then let cool for 15 minutes.
  6. Prepare royal icing and drizzle over the cooled pie, then add sprinkles for decoration.
