Ingredients

For the Garlic Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Provides richness and aids in achieving a golden crust; substitute with olive oil or plant-based spreads for a lighter option.
  • 1/2 tablespoon Garlic Powder Enhances the garlic flavor in the butter mix; fresh garlic can be used for a more robust taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Parsley Adds a touch of herbaceous freshness; omit if unavailable or replace with fresh parsley.
For the Sandwich
  • 4 slices Bread The base for the sandwich; use your favorite type (white, sourdough, or whole grain). Gluten-free bread can be used for dietary restrictions.
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese Blend Creates a melty, flavorful filling; substitute with any cheese blend of choice such as Swiss, provolone, or gouda.

Equipment

  • Non-stick skillet

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of softened butter, ½ tablespoon of garlic powder, and ½ teaspoon of dried parsley. Mix thoroughly until well blended.
  2. Generously spread the garlic butter mixture on one side of each of the 4 slices of bread.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over low heat and place two slices of bread, butter-side down, onto the skillet. Evenly distribute 1 cup of shredded cheese on top of each slice.
  4. Top each cheesy layer with the remaining two slices of bread, butter-side up. Press down gently to help the sandwiches hold together while grilling.
  5. Carefully monitor the sandwiches as you cook them over low heat for 4-5 minutes until the bread turns golden brown.
  6. Once the bottom is golden, gently flip the sandwiches to grill the other side for another 4-5 minutes.
  7. Remove the Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese from the skillet and let them sit for just a moment to cool slightly. Then slice them in half and serve hot.
