  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
Vanilla Layer
  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter Room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
Chocolate Layer
  • 1/2 cup Dutch Process Cocoa Or substitute with black cocoa
  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter Room temperature
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar Adds moisture
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda

Method
 

Cookie Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla extract, blending for another minute until smooth.
  3. Gradually sift in the dry ingredients and mix on low speed until just combined.
  4. Divide the dough into three bowls and mix in the strawberry and chocolate flavorings.
  5. Scoop and shape the dough layers, pressing them together before placing on the baking sheet.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges set.
  7. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
