Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Select a large sweet onion and slice off the top, making a clean cut to remove about an inch. Scoop out a small well in the center.
- Fill the well with butter, drizzle olive oil on top, and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning and salt.
- Wrap the seasoned onion in aluminum foil and place it in a baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour.
- For added flavor, turn on the broiler for the last 5-10 minutes, adding an extra pat of butter and a sprinkle of salt, monitoring closely.
