Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Select a large sweet onion and slice off the top, making a clean cut to remove about an inch. Scoop out a small well in the center.
  3. Fill the well with butter, drizzle olive oil on top, and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning and salt.
  4. Wrap the seasoned onion in aluminum foil and place it in a baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour.
  5. For added flavor, turn on the broiler for the last 5-10 minutes, adding an extra pat of butter and a sprinkle of salt, monitoring closely.
  6. Carefully peel back the layers and serve your onion as a stunning centerpiece, drizzling any juices over it.
